Clay is my pathway into the natural world.
Both my pottery and sculpture are inspired by an investigation
of nature, in process and in form. Over the years, I have
developed distinctly different bodies of work, pottery and sculpture. The pottery celebrates growth and abundance in nature, while the sculpture investigates problematic influences of our culture on the environment. See sculpture page for images of "Dark Garden" a clay and rebar installation shown at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA in early 2013.
I maintain studios in rural Alfred, NY and
in Boston, MA where I also teach workshops and have a studio
gallery open by appointment.
