Clay is my pathway into the natural world.
Both my pottery and sculpture are inspired by an investigation
of nature, in process and in form. Over the years, I have
developed distinctly different bodies of work, pottery and sculpture. The pottery celebrates growth and abundance in nature, while the sculpture investigates problematic influences of our culture on the environment. Images of "Dark Garden" my clay and rebar installation currently at the Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, MI can be seen on the SCULPTURE page.
I maintain studios in rural Alfred, NY and
in Boston, MA where I also teach workshops and have a studio
gallery open by appointment.
